Passive optical device for locating mobile object

The optical device includes two fixed synchronous optical systems (2,3) each associated to a photodetector (4,4) controlled by a module (5) connected to a processor (6). Each detector includes a quartz window and a number of CCDs shaped as elongated triangles. The images collected by the two optical systems are transmitted to the processor via an interface (9). The position co-ordinates are then calculated and transmitted to a decision module.
