The invention relates to a core winding roll bending process of hollow sections and the corresponding machine. Said process provides that the hollow section filled internally at least partially by a mandrel and clamped into the fixing points with its ends is bent asymmetrically from one side or symmetrically from both sides. While the hollow section is being bent, one of the two fixing points is displaceably driven in the X-direction (longitudinal direction of the hollow section). The hollow section is simultaneously pre-stressed across its entire length by an expanding cylinder acting on both fixing points, and is moved in the X-direction to be congruent with respect to the bending rotary movement.
