The connector (1) allows the passage of a screened cable (3) incorporating a conductor (4) and an insulating sleeve (29) into a housing (2), and includes a plastics holding element (8) and an electrically conducting core-piece (7) attached and connected to the housing. The end (18) of a conducting sleeve (6) of the cable is attached to the inside end (13) of the core piece which has a collar and projects through an aperture (17) of the connector. A ring nut (9) is screwed onto the inner core piece end and has a clamping surface facing the collar which clamps the conducting sleeve, the outer end of the core piece having a threaded coupling to which the holding element is attached. The holding element may be a connection armature for a corrugated tube (5), a screw clamp for a cable sleeve, or other coupler.
