<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively perform thermal recording across the entire width of a thermosensitive recording paper by dealing with even a slight variation of the width of the thermosensitive recording paper during thermal recording. SOLUTION: Each of transistors 28 subjected to ON/OFF control by a selecting circuit 6 is connected to plural heating elements 10b for recording data near the lateral end 12a of a color thermosensitive recording paper 12 among the heating elements of the array 10a. Consequently, the selecting circuit 6 turns the transistors OFF based on information on the lateral end position of the color thermosensitive recording paper 12 detected by a sensor 7 so that the heating elements outside the lateral end 12a of the color thermosensitive recording paper 12 are not energized.</p> |
