<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change an energizing force of a paper sheet in a paper feeding cassette according to the size of the paper sheet by being interlocked with a display operation for displaying the paper sheet size stored in the paper feeding cassette, has a simple structure, and hold fixed paper feeding conditions. SOLUTION: When a paper sheet is supplied, at first, for example, an A5 paper sheet size display plate 55 is inserted from an insertion port 57 of a paper feeding cassette to a prescribed depth, it abuts on one end E1 of a rotational member 71, the rotational member 71 is rotationally moved in an arrow (j) direction, a spring 77 is extended till a presser lever 41a and the rotational member 71 are balanced, and a presser force based on the elastic restitutive force of the spring 77 is applied on a paper feeding tray 39. When a lot of paper sheets are supplied in the paper feeding cassette, the spring 77 is extended more. When the copy is started, the paper sheets are decreased so as to gradually reduce the extension of the spring 77 and gradually reduce the weight of the paper sheets in the paper sheet cassette, and therefore the abutting force between the paper sheets and a pick-up roller can be held at a fixed value by appropriately setting elastic coefficient of the spring 77.</p> |
