The present invention relates to an overlapping device for a color video printer by using a thermal print head (TPH). A manufacturing value of two frames are compared under the control of a TPH control part, and a frame video signal with a large manufacturing value is transferred to the TPH so that two different screens are overlapped by frames, and the picture degradation is prevented, thus assuring overlap in distinct picture.
