The relay has a magnetic circuit (11) including a coil (16) and a movable armature (22) which is rotatable against a spring (33) between a rest position and a working position. The contact element (12) is movable between closed and open positions by a cam (52). The coupling between the armature and the cam consists of a ratchet wheel (53) rotating with the armature, and two pawls (54) formed in diametrically opposed positions on a ring (59) integral with the cam. The ratchet wheel is part of a bearing element (25) with an axial shaft (29) engaging in a hub (30) on the relay casing (10).
