PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe and simple blood purifying device and blood purify ing equipment capable of sufficiently removing a low-molecular weight protein typified byβ2-microglobnulin from the blood. SOLUTION: Cellulose to which a compound having logP value (wherein P is a distribution coefficient in an octanol-water system) not less than 2.50 is fixed, with a ratio to water ranging from 1:9 to 3:7 by weight, and 700,000 to 20,000,000 spherical hydrogels having an average particle size ranging from 300 to 600μm are stored together with a solution in a container provided with a device for preventing the hydrogels from flowing, having an inlet and an outlet for the blood, at least the outlet being passable for the blood but not for the hydrogels. The container is sealed, at least the inner part thereof is sterilized, and a blood purifying device is connected to a hemodialyzer.
