<p>PURPOSE:To recover ammonia efficiently so that adsorbents can be used repeatedly by causing gases containing moisture and ammonia to be adsorbed on adsorbents composed of zeolite or zeolite hydride etc., and heating thereafter the adsorbents on which the gases have been adsorbed. CONSTITUTION:Gases containing moisture and ammonia are brought into contact with adsorbents composed of natural or synthetic zeolite, or zeolite hydride which is prepared by hydrogenating said zeolite to be adsorbed thereon, following which the adsorbents on which gases have been adsorbed are heated to release ammonia. It is necessary to use such zeolite that contains water of crystallization or other water. According to said process, adsorbents on which ammonia has been adsorbed are heated to effect desorption and regeneration of ammonia. When the adsorbents are heated at a temperature of 100-600 deg.C in the air, adsorbed ammonia is released, so that the ability for adsorption of ammonia is recovered.</p> |
