Temperature- and time-dependent switching circuit for electric toaster

The resistive heating element (4) is supplied with current via a double-pole switch (2) which is thrown by an electromagnet (9) forming part of a timer (5) overridden by a temperature sensor (80) in the same application-specific integrated circuit (14). The timing involves an oscillator and counter in conjunction with configuration resistors incorporated in the chip. The parameters of the basic circuit are adaptable in manufacture by programming of the circuit elements for specific toasting chambers and heating conductors.
