PURPOSE:To enable not only the amplification of an optical signal level but also dispersion and pre-equalization in the state of an optical signal, as it is. CONSTITUTION:An optical signal propagated through a dispersion medium 101a is becomes an optical signal (a) by amplifying an optical power level with a light amplifier 102. A phase modulator driving circuit 104 outputs the sine wave signal of a fundamental frequency of an envelope signal of the optical signal (a). An optical phase modulator 103 for which the sine wave signal is applied modulates the phase of the inputted optical signal (a) and outputs a dispersed and pre-equalized optical signal (d) to a dispersion medium 101b. |
