Burner for liquid or gaseous fuel

The burner has a pipe which projects into a combustion chamber. It also has a mixing aperture and a central fuel nozzle (1). Equipment lies in a ring around the mouth of the nozzle, in order to guide air, and is in the form of delta wings (2) which are inclined relative to the airflow as required. The wings may be arranged circumferentially so that their bases are directly adjacent to one another, or so that they have regular spacings between them. The bases may also be fixed to an inner circumference which points towards the longitudinal axis of the burner, and the wings may be inclined outwards.
