PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct a location confirmation system which is capable of obtaining positional information by using an existing mobile object communication network such as a PHS, etc. SOLUTION: An information host station 1 having a host computer provided with a sound recognition function and a storage device storing map data are connected with plural repeating stations 2 via a telephone line 4 and the mobile object communication equipment (PHS terminal) 3 covered by these repeating base station 2 is composed so as to be connected with an information host station 1. When the map data such as one's own location and a destination, etc., is obtained, the PHS terminal 3 is connected with the information host station 1. When the information on a present location, etc., is transmitted from the PHS terminal 3, the information host station 1 retrieves the geographical data of the storage device based on this transmitted information, transmits the information to the PHS terminal 3 and makes the PHS terminal 3 perform the notification by sound and the display on a display. |
