Cleaning agent for extruders or injection moulding machinery

Cleaning agent for plastic processing equipment comprises : (A) 25-95 wt.% high molecular weight, non-thermoplastic polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA); and (B) 5-75 wt.% PMMA thermoplastic. The use of this agent for cleaning plastic processing equipment is also claimed. Preferably (A) and (B) have average molecular weights of more than 200000 and 50000-200000 Dalton respectively. A stabiliser for preventing thermal degradation is present in (A) and/or (B).
