<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner compsn. which can be fixed at low temp., hardly causes offset in a fixing device and prevents filming and shows stable development characteristics. SOLUTION: This compsn. contains a binder resin and a coloring agent. The binder resin essentially consists of such a crystalline resin that has >=20 durometer hardness D at normal temp., 40 to 120 deg.C melting point and a rubber region in the range from 10<2> to 10<4> Pa.s melt viscosity. When the toner particle has a surface layer, the surface layer contains a material having >=18×10<-3> J<1/2> m<3/2> solubility parameter and is formed by emulsifying grafting polymn. Or, the surface of the compsn. is formed by chemically modifying the resin or chemically modifying to introduce polar groups.</p> |
