PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust an optical axis and to obtain excellent image performance by tilting a variable apex angle prism based on deflection in vertical and horizontal directions and regulating the tilted state in response to the selection of a control state. SOLUTION: The variable apex angle prism(VAP unit) 19 is disposed between an objective lens L1R and a front prism L3R, and a VAP unit 20 is disposed between an objective lens L1L and a front prims L3L, and VAP elements 22 and 29 are housed in the main bodies 21 and 28 of the VAP units 19 and 20. When an observer presses the operation part of an operation lever after adjusting a pupil distance by turning rotary frames 9 and 10, the VAP units 19 and 20 are set in a deflection correcting state, and the VAP elements 22 and 29 are tilted by the driving force of an electromagnetic actuator based on output from sensors 49 and 50 detecting deflection in the vertical and the horizontal directions. A control circuit board 46 regulates the tilted state of a pair of VAP units 19 and 20 in response to the selected state of the operation lever. |
