PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an actinomycetes promoter useful for preparing a bacterium capable of industrially producing a useful protein by culture and further a bacterium capable of industrially producing sodium pravastatin as a therapeutic agent for hyperlipemia from Streptomyces lividans TK21 strain as an actinomycetes. SOLUTION: This new DNA does not submit to substrate induction, has transfer promoter activity and comprises a part of untranslation domain of about 1kbp adjoining the 5' side of an open leading frame coding cytochrome P-450 of Streptomyces carbophilus, for example, contains a continuous sequence contained in a nucleotide sequence of the formula and is continued in the 5' direction from a nucleotide of nucleotide number 428 as a starting point. The DNA is obtained by partially cutting the 5'-untranslation domain of 1kbp from the 5' end in the 3' end direction, has transfer promoter activity, has no limitation of length as long as the DNA does not submit substrate induction and has preferably about 300bp. |
