The ball (10) consists of an inner and an outer body (11, 12), which engage on each other on two corresponding spherical surfaces (19, 20). The inner body has a bore (13) passing diametrically through it, and its axis-parallel cross section mainly defines a circular surface section. The outer body forms a calotte-shaped cover (12) around the inner body. It has openings (21) of suitable diameters, aligned with the bore in the inner body. The cover has even wall thickness all round, except for a tangential groove (16) for a switching member. The outer body is injection-moulded around the inner one, to give positive connection between them.
