PURPOSE:To efficiently liquify recovered carbon dioxide by a high treatment capacity by using air or nitrogen gas as cooling medium gas and using the evaporation heat obtained by the adiabatic expansion of the cooling medium gas in the heat exchange with carbon dioxide. CONSTITUTION:Carbon dioxide contained in exhaust gas is pressurized to 5.5-6kg/cm<2>.G by a turbo compressor 4. This compressed carbon dioxide is supplied to an after-cooler 5 to remove the heat of compression and the moisture in the carbon dioxide is removed by a dehumidifier 6 to obtain dry carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide dried by the dehumidifier 6 is guided to a heat exchanger 7 and subjected to the heat exchange with the evaporation heat of cooling medium gas to be liquefied and the liquid component separated by a gas-liquid separator 8 is sent into a supercooler 9 and the evaporation heat of the cooling medium gas is further allowed to act on the liquid component by the supercooler 9 to cool the same and the obtained liquefied carbon dioxide is stored in a carbon dioxide storage container 3. The heat exchanger 7 uses the evaporation heat obtained by the compression and diabatic expansion of cooling medium gas. |
