The invention concerns a method and an arrangement for folding out what are known as collars (2) for loading pallets (3) from a folded stored position in which the collar's four primarily flat frame sections (12) that are hinged with each other at their ends are paired in parallel to a folded-out position for use in which the collar's frame sections form an essentially rectangular shape where the end pieces of the frame sections are equipped with fittings (14) that, in the position for use, partly project downwards from the frame sections and are formed to grip the upper corner pieces of a pallet/pallet collar. To achieve this, the collars are stored against each other in a standing position on their edges with the fittings' (14) projecting parts pointing downwards and, with the help of a grasping device (27) for grabbing the outer frame section (12) of the outermost pallet collar (2), this frame section is pulled outwards from its initial folded position and forced to take up a folded-out rectangular state through interaction of the fittings' projecting parts and guide rails (23, 24; 32, 33) arranged for these said parts. |
