METHOD FOR THE PREPARATION OF LIQUID LIME HYDRATE

The process for producing liquid calcium hydroxide which has over 30 % by weight of calcium hydroxide comprises the steps of: applying heat at a high temperature for decarboxylation and producing calcium oxide; reacting exothermically the cacium oxide with water under a pressure within the range of 1.1 to 1.2 atm and producing cacium hydroxide; chilling quickly to get liquid calcium hydroxide which can be moved easily to the next purification step; removing impurities from the liquid by a floation process which uses a cationic or a anionic surfactant; controling content of calcium hydroxide so as to be more than 30 % by weight of the liquid. The waste from the floation process can be returned to the exothermic reaction to raise production efficiency
