PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to observe the entire part of a reproduced image by magnifying the actually observable region of the reproduced image composed by the diffracted light from a volumetric hologram with a real time hologram device, etc., utilizing the volumetric hologram. SOLUTION: The reproduced image is obtd. by irradiating the volumetric hologram 5 with an object light 15 and a reference light 2 to record interference fringes and irradiating the hologram 5 with a reproducing light 9. If the wavelengthλ1 of the object light 15 is longer than the wavelengthλ2 of the reproducing light 9, the reproduction is executed again by irradiating the hologram 5 with a convergent spherical wave. If the wavelengthλ1 of the object light 15 is shorter than the wavelengthλ2 of the reproducing light 9, the reconstruction is executed again by irradiating the hologram 5 with a diffused spherical wave.
