PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent questions exceeding the capability of target by providing a second base station having a function detecting the target position from the question of the first base station and the response signal to the question signal from the target. SOLUTION: The response signal from a response machine 5 of a target 6 to a question signal from a secondary radar antenna 7 is received with the secondary radar antenna 7 and a nondirectional antenna 9 for response signal reception at a second base station 4. Thus, at the second base station 2, the position, etc., of the target 6 is detected by a questioning machine 1 and at the base station 4, the distance K between the second base station 4 and the target 6 is detected by a position detecting machine 3. The position detecting machine 3 also detects the distance J between the first base station 2 and the second base station 4 detected in advance and the azimuthαof the target 6 and the position of the target 6.
