Monomer, homodimer, heterodimer, homotrimer, heterotrimer, homotetramer or heterotetramer peptides, in which (1) said peptides when in the form of homomonomers or heteromonomers are based on a structure or a structural motive (a), in which X is chosen randomly from the group of essential and non-essential amino acids; (2) or in which structures such as the above are present in the monomer, homodimer, heterodimer, homotrimer, heterotrimer, homotetramer or heterotetramer peptides, the difference being that up to any five amino acids are missing, up to any five amino acids are replaced by up to any other five amino acids, or at up to any five points up to any other five amino acids are provided; (3) or in which structures such as the above are present in the monomer, homodimer, heterodimer, homotrimer, heterotrimer, homotetramer or heterotetramer peptides, the difference being that the terminal C and/or the terminal N is deleted and/or supplemented with up to 17 amino acids; (4) or in which amino acid sequences given in (1), (2) and (3) in the monomer, homodimer, heterodimer, homotrimer, heterotrimer, homotetramer or heterotetramer peptides or proteins, with a molecular weight of between 10 to 100 kDalton occur as structural motives singly or repeatedly several times.
