PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink absorbing body-inserting device capable of inserting a porous body into an ink cartridge in which a face having chamfers in its corners and a projected ink supply inlet having a filter are provided in an inner section thereof in terms of the ink absorption body inserting device for inserting the porous body of an ink absorption body into the ink cartridge. SOLUTION: A porous body 6 to be inserted into cartridge 7 is first compressed in the X and Y directions. Next, guide jig sections 1b, 2b, 3b, 4b of porous body compression jig 1, 2, 3, 4 are inserted to the ink cartridge 7. Chamfers are formed at the corners of one of the faces of the guide jig section and a cut-out section is formed at a part thereof. In this condition, when the pressing of the porous body 6 in the Z direction is started, the porous body is gradually released from the compressed condition. |
