Vehicle spare wheel holding device

The spare wheel holding device holds the wheel (13) on the underside of the bottom (11) of the vehicle, e.g. a caravan. There is a spacing element (17) on the rim (15) of the wheel. This fixes the wheel at a set spacing from the bottom of the vehicle. A tensioning element (2) gripping the wheel rim, is included, to pull the wheel up against the bottom of the vehicle. The tensioning element may be in the form of a stud (4), which in the assembled position, projects axially from the central aperture of the spare wheel.
