FIELD: sports equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has column, two crank mechanisms mounted on column, carriage with shafts, tooth gears mounted on shafts. Crank mechanisms are connected through vertical transmission shaft with gears on upper and lower ends. Lower crank mechanism has fingers to which two bicycle pedals are attached and upper crank mechanism has fingers to which two handles are attached. Apparatus uses elongate platform-type pedals or stirrup-type pedals, onto which User put his feet over the whole of its length from metatarsus to heel. Toothed transmission is made in the form of cylindro-conical toothed pairs positioned in perpendicular relation and working on consistent lubricant. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. |
