摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a constant velocity joint to easily assemble a press-formed outer ring to a vehicle and vice versa by installing an engaging groove, where the outer diametral surface of a bulge at the trackouter diametral side is merely notched, on an outer boundary of this outer ring, and attaching a snap ring whose one part is cut, to this engaging groove. SOLUTION: Each ball groove 3 as a track extending in the axial direction is formed on an inner diametral surface of an outer ring 1 at regular intervals in the circumferential direction. Each engaging groove 4 is installed on an outer boundary of the outer ring 1, and a snap ring 5 whose one part is cut off, is attached to the engaging groove 4 which notches a bulge 6 alone at an outer diametral side of the ball groove 3, and both the ends of the snap ring 5 are set up in the notched part. Therefore, this snap ring 5 is supported on each of the bulges 6, and thereby a part in space between two adjacent bulges 6 and 6 is isolated to a surface of the outer ring 1, and consequently a radial level difference being relatively large is formed in space between the isolated part 5a and the surface of the outer ring 1. Accordingly this isolated part 5a serves as an engaging part at the time of assembling the outer ring 1 and vice versa, so that facilitation for assembly and disassembly is well promotable.
