The conveyor arrangement is for conveying a workpiece carrier (8) in a conveying direction, the carrier having two opposite sides. A guide laterally guides the carrier in this direction, the guide comprising a drive associated with one of the carrier sides for advancing the carrier in the conveying direction. The drive includes a succession of entrainment elements (10) engaging the one carrier side.A guide track is provided having two sides (12,13) spaced apart in a direction transverse to the conveying direction and extending in the conveying direction.One of the guide track sides is opposite the drive in the transverse direction. The drive is biased towards the one guide track side. Guide rollers (31) mounted on the carrier are guided without play along the one guide track side.
