发明名称 STACK CASTING METHOD USING MOLD
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve considerably the product yield of small-sized castings by juxtaposing the respective product chambers in which the molten metal in a stacked casting mold is charged in the outside circumferential part of the respective stacked metal molds. CONSTITUTION:Product chambers 3 are juxtaposed circumferentially in the circumferential part of a circular mold 1 in the production of, for example, small-sized castings of a circular shape each having a central hole. Projecting parts 4 of a circular shape and projecting outside annular seats 6 around the through-hole 7 are stacked in the mold 1 by being meshed with the recessed parts on the rear side corresponding to said parts. A sand mold 8 is contained in each chamber 3 by projecting partly the upper part thereof, and there are spacing parts 9 by as much as the projecting size between the molds 1 but only the seats 6 embed the same. The molds 1 are clamped together with a cover mold 10, a sand flask 13, and a bottom plate 14 by means of round bars inserted into the holes 7 to form a stacked casting mold. Molten metal is charged therein through a cup 16. The molten metal fills the inside of a strage chamber 12, flows down into the chambers 3 of the respective molds, then the molten metal is charged through the runners (c) of the molds 8 and wells (d) into the recesses (b), thereby frming successively products. The gas generated during this time is released through the parts 9 to the outside. The parts to be filled with the molten except the product parts is thus made smaller and the yield is improved.
