CONTROL VALVE AND DEVICE FOR RECOVERING VAPOR OF FUEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an outlet passage to be certainly blocked in the case of such a trouble as lateral turning by providing a valve closure made of elastomer and cooperating with a valve seat for surrounding the outlet passage and providing such constitution as operating a master plate for supporting this valve closure by means of a float for composing a part of a valve assembly. SOLUTION: With regard to a control unit 14 attached to the upper surface of a fuel tank, an outlet passage 64 is connected to a fuel vapor storing canister and when a valve assembly 62 mounted on a housing 60 provided with the value assembly 62 is released, fuel vapor inside the tank is led out to the canister via the outlet passage 64 and a hose connection elbow 66. This valve assembly 62 is provided with a float 68 surrounded by a baffle tube 70 and also a valve seat for surrounding the outlet passage 64 and a valve closure 84 made of elastomer loaded on a master plate 86 making cooperation with the abovementioned valve seat. The master plate 86 is attached with free pivotal motion by means of a stripper plate 88 operated by the float 68 and energized to its blocking position by means of a spring 90.
