PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly apply a coating liquid on a material to be coated without flawing this material and to obtain a coated surface by rapid drying without the occurrence of wrinkling by creating a coupling state between a ball at a coating tip and a ball holder to prevent the missing in loading of the ball at the time of assembly of the coating applicator and forming the front end edge of the holder to a round surface. SOLUTION: This coating tip of the coating applicator is constituted by using the ball 2 as a coating medium and disposing a pressing member 6, such as spring, to the inside wall surface in the caulking part at the front end of the ball holder 1 holding the ball to keep the ball pressed at all times. The ball holder 1 is bored with a front end hole 1b of the depth at which the ball is sufficiently embedded from its front end edge and the diameter sufficiently larger than the ball diameter and a through-hole 1c which penetrates a coating liquid flow hole 3 and has the diameter smaller than the ball diameter from the front end edge 1a toward the rear end of the holder. Further, the ball is loaded into the front end hole and after its front end edge is caulked inward, the caulking part 1d is rounded by barrel polishing. |
