PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize high strength by eliminating micro segregation by a uniformizing heat treatment of a pearlite heat treatment rail for improving wear resistance, in a producing method of the high strength rail. SOLUTION: A steel ingot or a steel bloom for producing the rail is heated to >=1000 deg.C and as necessary, after working at >=5%, this material is once cooled to <=500 deg.C and further, heated to >=1200 deg.C to execute the hot-rolling into the rail, and after completing the hot-rolling, accelerated cooling is executed. The micro segregation is eliminated by a soaking treatment and the strengthening elements of C, Mn, Cr, Mo, etc., can effectively be utilized and the higher hardening can stably be achieved than the conventional method. By this result, the further improvement of the wear resistance can be expected. |
