PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a halogen electric bulb wherein reflected infrared energy can be efficiently utilized as a whole, by combining an infrared reflecting film formed into a tubular bulb having a cylindrical shape, an oval shape or the like with a filament. SOLUTION: There are provided a tubular bulb 1 having a sealed part on one end thereof, a halogen enclosed in the bulb, a filament 3 arranged substantially along the axis of the bulb, and an infrared reflecting film 9 formed on an outer surface or an inner surface of the bulb. Construction is made so that infrared rays emitted from the filament 3 may be reflected and heat the filament 3 and that a current reduction rate of a lamp current may be 1.0% or above. There are also provided internal lead wires 4a, 4b connected to both ends of the filament and a base 7 disposed on the sealed part. |
