A strobe light emission apparatus having colour temperature control suitable for fill-in light lighting with a still video camera comprises first and second emitters for emitting light of respective first and second colour temperatures Kc and Kc' (degrees Kelvin); first and second colour temperature controlling filters provided in respective optical paths of the first and second emitters and having respective colour temperature conversion powers Ta and Tb; wherein the first and second colour temperature conversion powers Ta and Tb are determined so that the resultant colour temperature G of light transmitted through the two colour temperature controlling filters is within a range defined by a lower limit Ka' and an upper limit Kb'. The filters may be selectively moved into the optical paths by drive means or the quantity of light emitted by each emitter may be controlled.
