<p>A human intracellular tyrosine kinase polypeptide and DNA (RNA) encoding such polypeptide and a procedure for producing such polypeptide by recombinant techniques is disclosed. Also disclosed are methods for utilizing such polypeptide to suppress the transforming activity of certain genes by acting in a regulatory role, to regulate changes in the proliferation and differentiation status of cells, namely, hematopoietic stem cells for bone marrow transplantation and support for cancer therapy. Diagnostic assays for identifying mutations in nucleic acid sequences encoding a polypeptide of the present invention for detecting diseases, for example, cancer, are also disclosed.</p> |
