PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the overlapping of item names displayed on the X axis in the case of displaying a graphics by deciding the arrangement of the item names whose overlapped indication is to be eliminated when the overlapping of display of the drawn item names takes place and revising the display arrangement of the item names based on the arrangement. SOLUTION: A control means 11 allows a character string check means 6 to check an overlapping degree of an X axis item name character string based on data from a graphic data entry means 5. The character string check means 6 extracts data of the item name added to the X axis required for graphic display among the data to check the overlapping off character strings. A display method decision means 7 decides whether the character string of the item names is to be displayed in a single lateral way, in the indication of plural lateral strings, in longitudinal indication or in skip indication based on the check result. An item name generating means 8 revises the arrangement of the item names according to the display method. Thus, the overlapping of the item names displayed on the X axis in the case of graphics display. |
