The oven is constituted by an elliptical hearth (1), surmounted by an ellipsoidal enclosure (2), limited by a vault (3). It is equipped in the front part with an opening limited by an elliptical band (4) against which is situated a second band (5). A slot (6) is made between the two bands for the exhausting of burnt gases. The elliptical hearth comprises two geometrical hearths (7,8), one receiving diverse heat sources, the other receiving the food to cook. The slot is in communication with a chimney. The oven access opening can be closed by a door. The enclosure is made from refractory material encased with an insulating product. A shelf (10) at the level of the hearth serves for placing plates and a fuel reserve (11) is provided under the oven.
