The long bolt has a rod which moves axially to open and close it, engaging with a catch plate (13) at its free end. The rod passes through a fixed lug (11) and a guide bush (9), and inside the latter it has a spiral groove (8). A pointed screw (10) in the bush engages with the slot and causes the rod to rotated as it is extended and retracted. The tip of the long bolt has a pin (12) projecting from it at right angles. The catch plate has a slot in it to receive the tip of the bolt and the pin. The pin fixes the bolt inside the catch plate as it rotates. |
