PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a higher heat efficiency while preventing the generation of soots within a burner by a method wherein water or steam is added to a fuel gas when a hydrocarbon based gas is burned in a combustion furnace and the fuel gas is reformed by preheating thereof to perform a combustion. SOLUTION: In a combustion furnace 1, a combustion exhaust gas in the furnace 1 is sucked during the storage of heat to pass through an air heat storage body 2 for combustion to store heat in the air heat storage body 2 for exhaust gas sensible heat combustion while the combustion exhaust gas in the furnace 1 passes through a combustion gas heat storage body 3. During the combustion, the air for combustion is supplied to the air heat storage body 2 for combustion and preheated to be supplied to a burner 4 while a fuel gas is supplied to the fuel gas heat storage body 3. At the same time, water or steam is added to the fuel gas to improve gas reforming and a heating value by a reaction expressed by a formula of CmHn+mH2 O→mCo+n/2H2 .+ΔH (ΔH: endothermic reaction heating value) and supplied to the burner 4 for heating by combustion. This enables preventing of the generation of soots within the burner 4 thereby upgrading the heat efficiency. |
