<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To treat a large capacity gas by suppressing an increase in the outer diameter of an adsorbing column in a gas separator by a pressure swing adsorbing method compressing mixed gas to selectively adsorb a specific component gas therein by an adsorbent and subsequently reducing pressure to separate and recover the specific component gas. SOLUTION: Many packed beds 2 are arranged in an adsorbing column 1 in a shelf multi-stage fashion and the gaps between the packed beds 2 are partitioned by partition plates 5 so as not to allow gas to pass. Since the gas flowing in the adsorbing column 1 from an inlet duct 7-1 passes in parallel through the packed beds 2 arranged in a shelf multi-stage fashion, a gas passing area becomes large and, even if the adsorbing column 1 is increased in capacity, the outer diameter thereof does not become large.</p> |
