PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the same cache operation as normal tracks with respect to defective/alternetive tracks. SOLUTION: A cache control module 26 is provided with a defective/ alternative track management table provided with addresses of defective tracks and alternative tracks and flag information indicating link states of both of them correspondingly to track data stored in a cache memory an, and an alternative track address corresponding to a defective track address is acquired by retrieval of the defective/alternative track information table to discriminate whether a hash table 58 is registered or not in response to a retrieval request designating this defective track address. |
