Rear seat for vehicle, with height adjustable headrest

The bench seat is fitted in the rear of a motor vehicle, and has at least one headrest which is adjustable in height, and which can be fixed in at least one height position using frictional equipment (10). The latter has a release device (20), and auxiliary equipment (18) which supports a headrest movement towards its lowest position, when it is released. The release device may be activated indirectly by the user of the seat, or may be activated from the driver's seat. It may also be activated by pivoting the backrest forwards.
