<p>Aryl and heteroaryl piperazine derivatives of formula (I) wherein, R1 is hydrogen, halogen, trifluoromethyl, C1-C6 alkyl, C1-C6 alkoxy, C1-C6 alkylthio, hydroxy or C1-C6 mono- or di- alkylamino; m is zero or an integer from 1 to 3; n is an integer from 1 to 5; and R2 is an aryl or a heteroaryl group optionally substituted by one or more substituents selected from halogen, trifluoromethyl, cyano, C1-C3 alkoxy and C1-C3 alkylthio; and their pharmaceutically acceptable salts are useful in the treatment of disorders depending on serotonin action at the level of 5-HT1A receptor sites. A process for preparing compounds of formula (I) and pharmaceutical compositions comprising them are also described.</p> |
