Teletext system with memory

The system can store teletext pages, from different channels, in a memory (M). The stored pages can be displayed (D) in the channel currently selected by the user. The user can decide manually and/or automatically which pages are stored in the memory. Alternatively the manufacturer can preselect the channels. The teletext pages of the different channels are read in, during a standby mode. Alternatively, the teletext pages of the different channels can be read in continuously and automatically, using a second tuner, or using a multiplex method with a single tuner (T).
