System for fastening magnetic screens to electron tube mask frame

The system includes a frame (1) of the mask with tabs (3) on the fastening surface (2) in positions corresponding to apertures (6) with V-shaped sides (6a,6b) in the edges (5) of the magnetic screens (4a,4b). In the assembled condition a retaining bar at the closed end of the apertures runs beneath the tab and holds the screen securely in position. The tabs are formed by stamping or pressing at an angle out of the fastening surface. The distance between their lower edges and the surface is slightly greater than the thickness of the bar.
