摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for separating a cathode-ray tube, which can reduce the number of workers and which can secure the safety with remote monitoring, by picking up an image display device placed on a work table, and computing the center position of the front surface and dimension of the cathode-ray tube so as to automate the separating work of the equipment body and the cathode-ray tube of the image display device. SOLUTION: The whole surface of a cathode-ray tube 13a of an image forming device 13 is directed upward, and cutting position and dimension is computed on the basis of the data obtained by a picking dimension computing camera 20, and a neck part is cut so as to return the inside of the cathode-ray tube 13a to the atmospheric pressure. The front surface of the cathode-ray tube 13a is sucked by a suction pad 14d of a traveling suction device 14, and an equipment body is fixed by skewer- shaped cramp parts 11d, 12d, and four edges of the front surface of the cathode-ray tube 13a are cut for separation, and thereafter, the cathode-ray tube separated from the equipment body is carried to the following process by the traveling function of the traveling type suction device 14. An automatic device and a method for separating a cathode-ray tube, which can reduce the number of workers and which can secure the safety with remote monitoring, is thereby obtained.</p>
