PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact antibacterial deodorizing box utilizing a photocatalytic reaction with a photocatalyst for the cleaning and sterilization of the housing space and having high efficiency of utilization of UV. SOLUTION: This antibacterial deodorizing box has a box body 1 with a housing chamber 10 formed at the interior, a thin TiO2 film 2 formed on at least part of the inside of the body 1 so as to divide the chamber 10 and a light emitting diode 3 radiating UV of 360-400nm wavelength on the film 2. Since the light emitting diode 3 is used as a UV source for activating the thin TiO2 film 2, the entire device can be compactly formed. Since malodorous components and bacteria in the housing chamber 10 are decomposed and removed by the activated thin TiO2 film 2, the interior of the chamber 10 can be kept clean. |
