Carrying and connecting bar for series of packages

The bar (1) is designed for a set of mainly parallelepiped shaped packages (4). The bar has outer fastening tapes (8) which are used to fasten it to a package or series of packages by gluing. The bar is divided into a number of longitudinal or horizontal sections (14) separated by perforations. At least one of the sections is provided with one or several recesses with a carrying function. This has a rhomboidal open shape with the recesses being easily accessible. In the applied device the bar can be folded onto itself so as to become less bulky. The uppermost and central portions are designed to closely abut each other in the folded position. This also reduces the total height of the device.
