PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the novel cap for a writing instrument with safety capable of preventing suffocating even if it is swallowed by mistake and effectively and easily fixing an inner cap to a cap body. SOLUTION: The cap for a writing instrument comprises a cap body 1 perforated with a vent hole 4 at the end of its top, an inner cap 2 having an outer cylindrical part 6 at the outside of an inner cylindrical part 5 for containing and sealing the nib of a writing element via a coupling rib 8 and a vent passage 7 and a locking part to the element to be arranged in the body 1, and a metal stational ring 3 inserted between the part 6 and the part 5 of the cap 2 to bring the part 6 into pressure contact with the inner surface of the body 1 and assuring a gap 12 between the inner surface and the part 5. |
